FIRST TIME IN SINGAPORE

I used to hate the idea of traveling outside Philippines but time has convinced me enough to try. Since it's our first time to travel together, it wasn't a surprise how we agree and disagree from hotel booking, money exchange etc. It was a riot even at first haha.

We left Manila around 5AM and arrived at 10AM. We didn't prepare for this trip and the first thing that came to our minds the moment we stepped out of the plane was "Ano na gagawin natin?" "Ang ganda ng Changi Airport!!" HAHA. I had to message Pato and there we are at the immigration.

We had brunch at the airport for convenience, My sister recommended Nando's which was really good and recommended for spicy food lovers.

Next stop : Coffee break for the old soul and green tea cake for me at Krispy Kreme. I didn't research much for this trip except where to buy the Singtel prepaid sim (takot talaga mawalan ng internet) HAHA. So before we booked our ride to the hotel, we bought the sim right away at the airport.

Disclaimer : This is the not-so useful itinerary for SG first timers

DAY 1 : Gardens by the Bay | Makansutra | $1 Ice Cream

Pat is not much of a traveler while I'm the laidback kind so It was not a surprise how our itinerary went. After check-in, we visited Gardens By The Bay via SG MRT.

We explored the streets on our way to MRT. ANG INEET MAS MALALA SA PINAS!! We obviously didn't  research about the weather for our trip.

Cute-sy roll

I have 0% sense of direction so I let the old soul do everythang. Just give me my ticket HAHA.

UGH. Complicated MRT lanes but I should say super comfy MRT experience.

On our way to Gardens By the Bay.

Death of unlimited walking at the Garden.

Almost there!

We spent the whole afternoon wandering around and met up with thy sister after killing our feet from walking.

We didn't notice that it was almost 7:00 PM when we met up with my sister since the sun was still up. My sister recommended Prata and coffee for our merienda which tasted really good.

After finishing our "merienda"  went straight to Makansutra Gluttons Bay and met up with my brother-in-law for dinner. The place was quite jam packed when we got there.

The only photo we took out of all the food we ate because of energy level down for the introverts.

Ice Cream!!

DAY 2 : Ya Kun Kaya Toast | Bugis | Plaza Singapura | Raffles City | Chicken Rice | China town | Haji Lane | LongPlay

I was able to convince Pat to skip Universal Studios so no solid plans for our day 2 except for SALTED EGG HUNTING!!!

Woke up around 9AM for breakfast

We tried Ya Kun Kaya Toast at City Square Mall and ate Kaya toast and coffee. Kaya toast was probably the best highlight of our trip!

Another MRT ride. Bawal mawala, kapit lang kay sir.

We passed by Bugis and nothing much to see so we headed to Plaza Singapura in hopes of buying the famous Irvin's Salted Egg. We got there around 12 pm and SOLD OUT salted egg for us.

Strolled a bit in the mall while I search for other brands of salted egg and wait for this human.

I found another brand of salted egg chips at 7 eleven convenience store. So let this photo speak for me. HAHA

2 plastics worth of salted egg
Next stop, raffles city for beef jerky.

Band aid alert

We met up with my college friend and forced ourselves to go to Maxwell food center. From raffles, took another ride to Maxwell food center for this rice chicken. Super must try!!

Ugh, thanks Watson for dragging us to this place. It was worth it!!

China town

Finally last stop - Haji Lane. I really wanted to explore Haji long before traveling to SG. Took this photo and went for some drinks at LongPlay - Ip bar. The DJ played a couple of Jazz music which Pat can't forget up until now. From Haji, we took the bus going home.

DAY 3 :  Laksa + Kaya toast | Singapore Expo | Manila!!!

My friends advised me not to leave Singapore without trying the famous Laksa. At first, we planned to skip  Laksa and eat kaya toast again but luckily, we got to eat both at Toast box.  I'm not a seafood lover but tried it still. It was okay for me but definitely not something I would eat again. Pat didn't like it too since it has coconut milk. In short, di namin sya bet. haha

After breakfast, booked an Uber ride going to Singapore Expo for shopping.

We agreed to ditch the trolley bag idea but regretted it on our last day.

From Expo booked another ride going to Changi and Hello Philippines again!! :)
