CAFÉ : FRANK & DEAN

Another coffeeventure for me! I’ve seen some instagrammable reviews of Frank & Dean few weeks ago and I knew, it was time for coffee!!!  Just this week, I had the chance to drop by and try their iced cappucino. I'm not the right person to judge the right taste of coffee but as far as I’ve been to other coffee shops, their iced cappucino is one of the best. The bitterness + sweetness of the coffee was just perfect for my taste because I’m not really a fan of “super-mapait” coffee. Aside from their coffee, I bet you fellow instagrammers would not doubt to check the place and be your best #instagrammerofMNL.

From where I sit hehe. Perfect spot for alone time moments

Love the hip & minimalist vibe of the chairs

Iced cappuccino!!!

Last time I checked, wala pa nito! What a surprise.

Location : Forbes Town Center, Burgos Circle BGC
Opening hours : 11AM to 12 Midnight (Mon-Sun)

WALK IN THE PARK, ART BGC

ArtBGC NextAct ONE Festival is a weeklong mural festival featuring a mix of international and local artists painting across BGC district. Here's the line-up for the artists : FAILE, CYRCLE, Corloene, Kristin Farr, Drew Merritt and Nate Frizzell, Egg Fiasco and Anjo Bolarda.

Just a quick trivia, back when I was still in college, I dreamt of working in Mckinley. Okay, it wasn't actually a dream, dream. But it was something I wanted merely because it sounded nice haha then months after my graduation, I landed to get a job in Mckinley yaaay. Anyway, to cut everything short, all I wanted to say is I super love BGC!! Although a lot would agree that the cost of living in is quite expensive, it is safe, friendly, organized and very calm.

Apart from all those reasons, their love and appreciation for ART just gave me another reason to love BGC. This entry is really really late but it's not yet late for you guys to check these series of art. I wasn't able to be there at the launch but I scheduled a time to wander around and hunt.

Here's something that would probably help you but in my case, I have accepted that maps and directions will never be my thing . EVER. EVER.EVER

I hate cats but I took a photo of it just for the sake of. hahah or okay, sige cute narin.

After the first art piece, I gave up trying to read the map because I was slowly getting pissed and I opt to trust my instincts instead.
Taken by my BB Z10 in night mode + HDR + head lights from a moving car at my back

Next was the wild boar art or it's not even wild as it looked haha

My favorite of them all was the astronaut and I accidentally deleted the photo without the header text pftt. I was dreading about myself when I couldn't find it so I pushed myself and continued to walk. Turns out, it was located just across The Forum haaaaaayyyyy.

I spotted another artwork on a different day when I was just in a cab.

I've seen the others as day went by but I was too lazy to take a picture of it, go ahead and check them out!!

CAFÉ : CAFE BRETON

Greenfield District, Highway Hills, Mandaluyong City

CONQUERED : MT. PICO DE LORO

The last time we went hiking, I remember we promised not to hike again but we broke our promise and unleashed our adventurous spirit once again. Mt. Pico De Loro is also known as Parrot's Peak located in Cavite and Batangas. We left Taguig around 6am and reached Pico around 8am. Around 8:30am we were all set for the jump off. There are two options for the trail, the first option is gradual hike to basecamp 1 and beyond while the second option is a steeper hike on a forest leading all the way to the summit (five-minute assault up). I am very sure that we took the second option because my whole body was aching for 2 days.

From DENR jump-off point, we paid PHP 25.00 for registration and PHP 10.00 for Banana power booster.

I paid another PHP 25.00 for my ice cream. Ice cream seller inside the forest. Only in the Philippines.

We trekked going to the campsite for 1.30 hours where we had our lunch. We usually bring tuna and bread for lunch for tipid trip purposes.

From campsite, we hiked another 10 mins going to the summit.
5 mins assault

But we still made it to the summit!!!!

Across the summit is the Parrot’s Beak also known as the Monolith. I’ve been wanting to climb the monolith even before we planned the trip but when I got there, I was the scaredy-scaredy-cat.

So I decided ” I AM NOT GOING TO CLIMB THE MONOLITH” hehe I accept defeat okay okay. I stayed here for almost 2 hours waiting for my friends to finish the monolith and I am so proud of them!!

My friends at the Monolith YAYY!

Although I'm quiet disappointed about not making it to the monolith, It's nice to meet my scaredy-scared self.
